AlphaBarn Ltd is Veitch Moir’s property development activity, based in the pleasant village of Slinfold, near Horsham, West Sussex in the United Kingdom. AlphaBarn specialises in the repair, restoration and renovation of antique buildings, particularly those built using oak timbers and traditional masonry.

A major activity is the rejuvenation of traditional Sussex barns, some of which are hundreds of years old. AlphaBarn can restore damaged and dilapidated barns to a state close to their original condition. When owners have appropriate planning approvals, AlphaBarn can convert traditional barns into beautiful, character-filled residences with full modern services and facilites.

The AplhaBarn management, led Alison Donnithorne-Tait, has completed a wide range of projects from small repairs to the restoration of several buildings on one site. In addition to work on buildings, AlphaBarn undertakes construction of garden terraces and landscaping for drives, parking and gardens. AlphaBarn won a Sussex Heritage Award in 2003 for its outstanding work.

We at AlphaBarn wish to preserve and to restore old and ancient traditionally constructed buildings so that their unique heritage can pass on to future generations.  In doing so, we seek to respect the environment and to operate as a responsible and ethical company.
